"Patients deserve better..."

About: Worcestershire Royal Hospital / Neurology

(as the patient),

From my experience, there were not enough staff with not enough time to really deal with patients.

I was left on commodes for at least an hour, and ringing the assistance bell was no use at all.

There was no time to prepare toast at breakfast time and no hot drinks during the day.

Also the times of drug rounds were very hit and miss.

I am very sorry that you had a poor experience when you were a patient in our hospital. The Head of Nursing would welcome an opportunity to meet up with you to discuss this further.

We strive to provide the highest quality care for our patients and issues like the ones you describe are clearly unacceptable. Much work has been done over the past few months to make improvements around dignity and nutrition and that all our staff are providing a standard of care that they would expect their family and friends to receive.
