"APPOINTMENTS LINE"

About: Lister Hospital / Dermatology

I attended the dermatology department, the first week in January, for an annual skin check due to having Malignant Melanoma in the past. The Dr, I saw, was very nice so I can't fault her. She asked me if it was my first appointment, with them, for 2018 - Nope, I had a review in November, which was cancelled, with no reason - this appointment was to replace that.

Upon inspection of my skin, she found something that needed to be removed and biopsied - today is February 21st, and, I haven't heard a thing with regard to my appointment. When I ring the appointments line, I'm somewhere in the region of number 33 in the queue. I work full time, I don't have time to keep ringing them, especially given the opening hours - 9am - 3pm?? Are you kidding me?? Having, already, had Cancer and the Dr finding something else that needs checking, I think this is ridiculous!! I'd like someone to contact me so I can get this appointment booked - obviously, this is very worrying for me.

Thank you for your review Victoria. Our phone lines can be very busy at times and we're sorry that you have had trouble getting in touch with the dermatology team. We're happy to help look into this for you, but we'll need you to get in touch with us by emailing your details to generalenquiries.enh-tr@nhs.net (including your name, date of birth, address and NHS number).
