"Elective Orthopaedic unit, County"

About: County Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

My mum had a total knee replacement nearly two weeks ago, every aspect from the beginning, seeing the consultant to her discharge has been fantastic.

My mum found the talk at Stoke at Occupational Therapy (before the surgery) was fantastic, it was so useful she felt it was the best preparation she could have had for the surgery, it helped her to recover more quickly as she understood the process better.

All the staff from the Theatre to the ward staff were lovely and looked after mum very well!

The disappointing part is the long waiting list for physio after discharge organised by Virgin Care!

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your Mum's experience of our hospital. I will ensure I share your lovely words with the team on the Elective Orthopaedic Unit. I know they will be very much appreciated.

I do hope Mum is continuing to recover well following her surgery.

With best wishes
