About: Strathcarron Hospice / Day Care Service

(as a service user),

I go to Strathcarron for day care and I was given a card yesterday to see if I wanted to give some feedback.  I feel they help me so I should give something back.  When I was first told about Strathcarron and day care I cringed a bit as I felt it wasn't my style.   They helped me with my breathing and oxygen etc so I decided to give the day care a go, I was really nervous when I first walked in but  I now enjoy it so much, the nurses and volunteers put you so at ease.  They talk with you as soon as you arrive to see how you are and if you need anything.  I find my self talking about things I never thought I would.  

I actually look forward to my Tuesdays at Strathcarron

We are especially pleased to know that not only have you felt certain benefits regarding your physical health, but that we were quickly able to change the opinion you first had about the Hospice and coming to Day Care. It sounds like you are very glad you decided to ‘give it a go’. It is very reassuring for us to know, that because you are now feeling more at ease, you feel you can talk about other things and we hope that this ‘talking’ is another way of you feeling supported.

Thank you again and we very much hope that your story will encourage others who are nervous about Strathcarron Hospice and our services, to give it a go.
