The recent change to the telephone booking system is a huge improvement for the Surgery.
Before this system was introduced, if I needed an appointment, I would start phoning the number (01274425600) at 8.15 to the constant noise of an engaged tone, quite often redialling 200+ times before being connected to the automated queue and be told "You are caller number 25".
This was so frustrating as you could be on the phone for over an hour some days waiting to get through to face the fact all appointments have been allocated!
This being said, now it is possible to contact my particular surgery branch direct by pressing 2, it is a lot more efficient, and waiting times over the phone are cut drastically.
I do hope the Surgeries continue to improve as the GP's are very knowledgable and put the patient first and all other staff try to be as helpful as they can and try to answer any questions (usually with at least half a smile unlike some other places :)
