Was advised to visit A&E by my G.P.
I managed to shut my thumb in the car door at the hospital for an appointment 2 weeks ago.
Not one to make a fuss I went home and iced it hoping it would be ok.
2 weeks on I knew it was infected.
Managed to see G.P who advised I go to A&E as it would need removing.
Attended on Monday 19th to a busy waiting room.
Was triaged and told that they would try to save the nail.
Saw a Dr who prescribed anti biotic and the thumb was dressed.
The Dr made sure I knew when to take my tablets and what to do if the infection does not get better.
All the staff were pleasant and happy under incredible pressure to assist so many people.
Thank you
