"Surgical Day Case Procedure"

About: North Tyneside General Hospital / General surgery

My wife attended today for a spinal nerve block injection. On arrival the hospital we were impressed on how bright/clean and airy the corridors to the department appeared. The receptionist in the day care unit was very pleasant and quielty efficient. We had only a few minutes to wait before a nurse collected her, with an introduction and smile to take her to the treatment area. I was told that I should wait as there is not room for visitors in the treatment rooms. The TV was on showing BBC which helped to pass the time. My wife commented on how friendly all of the staff were whilst she was under their care. The consultant was, as always, the perfect gentleman to her.
