"Birth unit"

Gave birth to my daughter on the 19th January 2018. This was my second birth, both at Gloucester. The first time was fine, no complaints. But this experience was fantastic! I had several midwifes with my first, all quite young and my first baby so it was completely different. This time i had one particular midwife and she was fantastic! Made me feel completely at ease, and overall just did a fantastic job with everything. She made me feel very comfortable, and made me feel like all the decisions were my own down to everything including the feeding. We had a water birth and it couldn't have gone any better. The NHS and staff get so much stick, and it's tough for them. I really think this lady deserves recognition for doing such a brilliant job and putting some positivity back into the work the hospital staff do. Me and my husband would like to thank you for making it such a wonderful experience for us both :) and hopefully you will see this message or someone will pass it on to you.
