Hi ladies. This is just a heads up for anybody that is about to have the surgical abortion method and who are anxious about it - that it is absolutely fine, please try not to worry so much about it. The whole staff treated me so well, the nurses are outstanding and every single one of them looked after me, and calmed my nerves. I was very scared and anxious about the whole thing and I have never had an operation before, or been put under sedation.
The nurses were understanding, sympathetic and put me to ease from the word go. I cannot thank them enough for making me feel so at ease, and looking after me so well. I was treated today at the Ealing branch, in West London and I want to thank all of the staff for being so amazing. The staff treated me like an individual, and also even managed to make me laugh and smile - they were friendly and approachable and I was so impressed by the whole service. You made one very anxious and nervous woman (me), feel so much better about myself and words can't express my gratitude to everyone involved.
In terms of the pain, I have had some very sharp pains in my stomach, which is to be expected, and cramping - it feels like very bad period pains. I believe that this is normal. The bleeding has been normal, again just like on a normal period for me. I generally also feel very fine, and I was in and out of the clinic in 2.5 hours, which I thought was also so great. I am going to keep on taking the pain killers, and keeping a hot water bottle on my stomach as much as I can, which helps with the pain. The pain in my stomach does hurt, but I expect this to ease up over the next few days, or weeks.
Once again, thank you so much for your kindness and supportive staff.
"Fantastic staff and support - surgical abortion..."
