"Appointments a nightmare"

When you feel at your worst the last thing you want to do is race to the GP for 8.30 in the morning (which is when you are told to arrive for their unbooked emergency service) to find all appointments gone. The unbooked emergency system is a joke it is really just for anyone that wants an appointment within a month! When I tried to make an appointment for my child I was given one 3 weeks away. The booking system needs updating. Invest in a better telephone system so people don't have to arrive and queue for the doors to open like some third world service. Pre booking appointments is a mystery I'm told something different everytime but the answer is always phone back on the day(which never gets results) or wait weeks.

The waiting room is limited as I sit in it now there are no seats left. If you have young kids it is awful considering how long the wait is not even a little corner for them to play in just some tatty books on a table that can't be accessed when the room is full. On the plus side the staff are usually nice here it must be awful to put up with disgruntled patients.
