my son was admitted as an emergency and diagnosed with viral gastroenteritis which was at an acute stage.
although he spent the first night in A&E due to no beds elsewhere, he had thorough tests and good compassionate care there.
when eventually transferred to a ward, he continued to have very thorough careful care, with every avenue explored as to the cause and likely need for ongoing treatment.
the parking is appalling, and it's quite difficult to find one's way around the hospital.
however the clinical care and general nursing were beyond reproach.
and there are plenty of little shops and cafes for family/inpatients additional needs.
the short time I spent waiting in A&E waiting room it was distressing to note the way the general public treated the space - plenty of refuse bins, generally unused.
litter everywhere.
