My mam was sent to hospital on the 11th
October 2017 by her doctor because she got out of breath when walking .she was on the assessment suite having test and they decided to keep her in for further tests on ward49 . I visited her twice a day every day and I could see she was just going down hill every time I went in. Why couldn't the staff see it? I just felt nothing was done to help her. Not one member of staff approach any of my family to tell us how poorly my mam was. On Wednesday the18th October I left my mam at 8.30 she felt a bit uncomfortable with the pain in her face.i spoke to a nurse on the way out because I was concerned that my mam was just getting weaker and weaker.my mam phoned me at 9.15 pm to say the doctor was there to see her and that she would phone me back.i got a phone call at10pm from a member of staff, telling us we needed to get back to hospital.we got there and my mam had a cardiac arrest .they got her heart working again and took her to the I c u unit they got her comfortable and a member of staff came for us as they opened the curtain my mam had had acardiac arrest again and I just seen them working on her.my mam died just after midnight...... My mam walked into that hospital a week before, she was ment to walk out .i feel we were let down by that hospital.they also at some point lost my mam s rings.
