"NHS 111 Referral"

About: York Hospital

The visit was a mixed mag of experiences. It began well, triaged and placed into the out of hours department fairly quickly. However after 4 and a half hours of waiting here and numerous patients being called in to be seen, I decided to ask when I would be seen. The answer to this question was that I had not been placed on the system and potentially then had another further 3 hours to wait! I found this absolutely ridiculous, and no apology was offered. Shortly after I was finally placed on the system however I was seen. During my stay I saw at least one other patient become distressed at the pace at which they were seen. Doctor was brilliant however the reception staff didnt seem to care about the enormous delay.

We will pass on your comments to them.
