"Telephone appointment"

About: The Ridge Medical Pract.

It always takes ages to get through and its always a worry that all the appointments will have gone. Today I got a telephone appointment and another appointment tomorrow to deal with my problem so its a positive review from me this time. Just wish the practice wasnt so massively oversubscribed. Its not the staffs fault obviously,they must have so much patience to do theit jobs😊

Thank you for the feedback. We have made some recent changes to the phone system which we hope will help patients get through more easily, and at Wibsey we now telephone triage all requests for on the day appointments so should mean that there is normally a slot available. We are finding this system is working better for patients in getting them the care that they need.

Our resources are stretched - unfortunately as GP practice we are obliged under our NHS contract to register any patient that want to join us - we are not allowed to refuse or say that we are full. We would love to have more staff but the NHS funding provided only pays for so many staff and we can't expand any more at present but will do as soon as we can afford to!
