"Discharged with no care plan"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

Worst care I have ever received. I now feel lost and slipping into depression. No care plan and no ongoing care discharged and chucked out trying to get myself walking again and been sent home with extremely strong pain relief.

Admitted twice with 3 A&E visits over 3 weeks; 3rd admission a few days ago.

Takes about 5-6 days to even bleep a doctor and be sent home on pain relief with a huge addiction rate and no care plan for the future.

No outpatient referrals in place.

No physio.

Spinal injury.

Severe pain.

Cannot walk.

Still no diagnosis.

Dear marierussell

Firstly I am so sorry for not responding to your feedback sooner.

I would really like to look into this as a matter of urgency but we would need to get more details from you to allow me to look into your recent care at the hospital as its clearly not right and you have had such a traumatic few weeks. I do want to make it better for you.

If you would be prepared to contact us via our PALS team then we could start to investigate your care and treatment. PALS can be contacted either by 01522 707071 or via email pals@ulh.nhs.uk. The team will be able to take your details so we see which wards you were admitted to. If you do decide to contact them, could you please quote CO472519 so the team will be able to locate your feedback on the Care Opinion website.

Regards

Catherine Capon, Matron

Update posted by Marierussell (the patient)

I have put two complaints into PALS who advised they could not help with this matter.
