I was admitted to Morton Ward on Saturday 10th Feb and on to Fleiming Ward the next day. I have not had a stay in hospital before and had heard all the shock horror stories of how awful it was going to be.
How far from the truth. The wards are spotlessly clean and beds changed daily. The nurses and auxiliaries are extremely attentive, caring, patient and friendly. The meals are varied and the choices good. The staff really try to cater for everyone's taste and wants.
On the other hand the patients were demanding and complaining.
I thought my stay was as good as it possibly could have been in the circumstances of my illness and thank everyone for making my stay as comfortable as possible.
I hope the staff realise that not everyone complains about what they're doing and I am extremely thankful.
"What an experience."
