"Thank you A and E nurse who treated me on..."

About: Watford General Hospital

Many thanks to all the wonderful and dedicated A and E staff who treated me after three o clock on Tuesday afternoon 13/02/2018 this after I had misread the terrible pains I was getting which turned out to be U.T. I. and it felt like my bladder was distended from my inability to void it.but through the searing pain it was actually the opposite.

I had to have a catheter fitted after an op in December as my enlarged prostate stopped me urinating.brought on by the spinal this was at another hospital. I first got the fiery pains on the friday evening and cut right down on liquids thinking it was the same situation full bladder, called out the emergency Doctor who started me on a course of antibiotics this in the early hours of Monday.

I had been feeling really rough and was advised to go to A.and E. on Tuesday and because of my symptons

I was seen quite quickly where a really over worked and I would say highly experienced Nurse attended to me and quickly deduced that I was severely dehydrated I was put on a drip and spent the night and best part of next day being infused with a saline solution drip three litres in total.

Later on that evening I was transferred to the A.A.U. Purple Level where I received first class care again and literally all the people I encountered were dedicated professionals a credit to the N.H.S. and a credit to the Hospital..The poor staff what they had to put up with several disruptive patients during the night who would have died if they been discharged but they were continually shouting and hollering that they wanted to go home and being really nasty to some of the nursing staff.

I now hope they feel really guilty about it when they reflect that their lives were saved by Watty Gen.

Once again a great big thank you to that nurse and doctors who treated me and all the staff I encountered whilst there and all the people who made the right decisions on my behalf.

Thank

Goodness we have

Watty Gen.......
