after being admitted to hospital in November 2017 after a fall at the nursing home mum was vocal and mobile after a week mum was ready for discharge but had no where to go as the home refused to take her back .over the next weeks we persisted in asking the nursing sister to allow us to get mum on her feet and sit her in a chair they refused point blank .I spoke personally to the physiotherapists they said it was up to my discretion if I thought mum was capable of weight bearing .we managed to try to get mum up on her feet but the nurse who was assisting us was asked to leave and told not to help us .the weeks turned into months mum became less vocal and now after 4 months in hospital now unable to weight bare . we believe extra medication was given to my mum to keep her sedated . on a number of times people have come from nursing homes to access mum for a placement and have commented on the responsiveness of my mother and commented on the medication . my mum has vascular dementia and on a vast amount of medication and has been for 18 months or more so we know what the effects the medication has on mum .we asked many times for a list of what medication the hospital was giving my mother but was refused at times mum had an injection this procedure had never been done before for mums psychotic drugs .mum is now in a care home slowly being taken off the medication which had not been prescribed for her I would love you too ring me but this email will be rejected just like the last I look forward to hearing off you but I wont hold my breath
