"Saved my daughter’s life"

About: Beckenham Beacon Ucc

We attended this clinic after my then 3 year old daughter was complaining of a severe stomach ache. We had already been to our GP the previous evening and were told it was probably a virus but to keep an eye on her in case she worsened. In the morning she was saying it hurt more so we stopped off at the Beacon. The GP we saw told me to take her straight to A & E, highlighted her case as urgent and gave us a letter to show staff. He also said we should never have been sent home the previous night by our GP. We went to Hospital, were admitted immediately, her condition then worsened and she was transferred to Chelsea and Westminster in an ambulance where she underwent emergency surgery. She had a rare life threatening condition and the consultant later told me she would only have had half an hour maximum had she deteriorated while we were at home. I owe this GP everything for not being dismissive and arrogant like our own GP was and for taking the time to examine my daughter properly. Thank you so much.
