"Chest pains great care"

About: Solihull Hospital

After having slight discomfort in my chest for 4 days slowly getting worse my wife insisted a medical practitioner check me out. These things always get worse at the weekends.

Once the receptionist realised my problem was chest pains she very quickly checked me in and I got a ecg within minutes.

In the next hour I had a blood test and xrays. I saw A Dr after around 3 hours had another ecg and was done he reassured me it wasn't a heart attack. Advised what to do if the pain worsened or stayed the same.

All the staff were brilliant.I felt very fortunate to have received such good care. Thank you

Dear Mr Bevan,

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments regarding the care and treatment you recently received in the Acute Medical Unit at Solihull Hospital.

I am pleased that the receptionist acting quickly due to your presenting symptoms and that you were examined and tests undertaken within a timely manner.

I appreciate it would have been a very worrying time for you and your wife, so it is good to know that the doctor was able to reassure you,

I will forward your posting the senior management team and ask that it is shared with the staff, as I am sure they will be delighted to read your positive comments.

I do hope that you are feeling much better.

Once again thank you for taking the time to provide your comments, as all patient feedback is important to us.

Best wishes

Miss J. Langham

Patient Services Officer
