What could be improved

I'm writing this on behalf of a patient who was admitted over a week ago, and I found that the doctors on F9, were not helpful. The patient in question has some mental health issues and this was not taken into account, doctors should learn to understand certain conditions from patients, to find a better solution to get better. The doctor in question was very patronizing towards the patient, and this didn't help her at all. Before all this happened the patient was feeling better, until this doctor didn't use his choice of words, to which it upset her and made me rather angry.

What I suggest that doctors, should sympathize with patients to enable them to get better, talk to them rather than at them. This will lead to a better understanding between ward docs & patient. Learn to find about their condition, if its something the doctors are not aware, and again this will lead to a better understanding.

Anything else?

I understand that theres a shortage of staff at night, which can cause added pressure to staff, this all reflects in the patients health.

If there was a better caring attitude between nurses and patients at night, things would get better.

Employ more night staff.
