"Care and compassion was shown in abundance"

About: Ninewells Hospital / Day Surgery

(as a service user),

I had an early 0730 admittance time   to the gynae ward but was told it was full and   therefore   a group of us were to go to the Day surgery unit. I   really do not know how my experience would have been in gynae but feel they could not have improved on the care and attention I and the others received in   the place we were sent. I, not to put to fine a point on it was terrified, the staff all round were fantastic. The care and compassion was shown in abundance. The anaesthetists   hardly needed the drugs to make me feel relaxed..What could have been very embarrassing and undignified was made not so. and I am truly grateful. The Nursing staff were so attentive and made me feel I was in safe hands. I was told by my Doctor I may have to go in again. I hope not but for sure the next time   I will not be so frightened. Well done Day Surgery unit! ! !
