"Haematology Ward 625"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham

I was called in for 24hr care while starting a new drug which might cause TLS if not managed correctly.

The staff on this ward are all very conscientious and commited despite being stretched.

The short staff levels impede them from being able to fully support their patients but they do all that they can to cover the cracks.

My stay should have been a max of 2 nights however an error in pharmacy increased this to 4 nights costing the NHS unnecessarily.

The catering is amazing compared to other hospitals.

Please note that this ward is Haematology but thus does not appear as an option in the drop down below so I have selected cancer services.
