"My experience Alexandra hospital"

Visited the hospital yesterday for cardiac surgery.

Before this I had attended a number of appointments to determine the problem and the possible solution.

During those visits I had gained a very favourable impression of all aspects of the hospital even though it was in the early stages of building and renovation work which would affect the running of the administration etc.

My visit yesterday included surgery and overnight stay.

Throughout the whole of my stay every aspect of the service was in effect sampled as my findings were as follows.

Reception ,booking in and subsequent porters get was excellent although because of the temporary changes due to building work made the reception area fairly cold if having to wait.

Attitude and efficiency was superb.

Cleanliness was excellent at all times.

Meals were on a par with a good hotel. Hot where needed,of good quality and delivered speedily and in a caring fashion.

When preparing to leave all administration matters were again dealt with carefully and speedily.

Two points which I would make is that the television in the bedroom had been so much used the screen could not be brought to a position where it could be watched with ease.

Again in the bedroom the wardrobe door handle was coming away from the door.

Not major problems I grant but it is sad to spoil the whole by problems which could easily be rectified.

However,overall superb.

The building work is quite intrusive and our staff are working hard to overcome the challenges it brings.

I am delighted to see that, despite the disruption, your care was still first class.

Thank you for your feedback regarding the television and the wardrobe door, it would be useful if you could let us know the room number and ward you stayed in so that we can fix the issues you reported.
