What I liked
I attended the hospital for day surgery, unfortunately I ended up having to be admitted and spent 22 days in total at the hospital on various wards.
Throughout my stay at the hospital I found the staff to be very polite, courteous and understanding, although I had to be moved several times, I was always consulted and given an explanation and a rough guide to day and time and if there were any changes I was notified promptly.
I was consulted every step of the way with the care that I would be receiving. I was always consulted and given a full explanation for tests which I needed.
When I was ready to be discharged a problem occurred with equipment that I needed at home which is relevant to my recovery, the hospital staff got involved and remedied the situation, although it meant I had to stay an extra two days, but I was extremely greatful and at no time was I made to feel a burden.
I would recommend this hospital to friends and family in the future.
I felt I should let all the staff on Lillian Holland Ward know that because of their professionalism, caring, considerate nature my stay and recovery was a positive experience and I would just like to add a very, very, very big thank you from the bottom of my heart.
What could be improved
The menu at the hospital is varied and on the whole there is something for everyone, but having spent three weekends in the hospital I can honestly say that the menu at the weekend was a let down.
"An unexpected enjoyable experience!"
