Phoned up to book apt for ears syringe. Told to soften wax 10 days prior to apt. Went to chemist who recommended Otex. Went for apt and without even looking in my ears was refused treatment by nurse who stated in her training she would only treat ear wax softened with Olive oil. Looked online and booked a private apt with an ear specialist that very day who said he had never heard anything so daft and then having examined my ears said " oh yes that's very soft" and restored my hearing there and then. The new nurse at this practice spoke in a very abrupt uncaring manner and when i suggested that if she was going to only treat patients who had used olive oil then maybe it would be a good idea to let the receptionists know this when taking appointments to which she replied that receptionists were not health workers who can tell people what or what not to use . This nurses whole attitude and manner in which she spoke was very very worrying and i strongly suggest that anyone who is spoken to as i was and the previous reviewer was to put a complaint in writing to the practice manager. Do not just accept it. I was totally appalled. Uncaring as though looking for and as though argument.
