"Unlucky to lucky"

About: The Essex Cardiothoracic Centre

Last July i was diagnosed with endocarditis and a faulty aortic valve.I was lucky enough to start. at Broomfield and then he transferred to yourselves.Although my condition. was serious once settled in i was reassured and I was filled with confidence.I stayed for about 5weeks and can only say i doubt i would have received better care or attention anywhere ALL staff i met were great.I had a new valve and continued antibiotics.Since leaving you my recovery has gone in one direction and long may it do so.I did stay on Colne ward for about 2 days but as my daughter tells me you were out of it dad.So thank you for everything and best wishes to you all

We are always pleased when patients take the time to comment on their experience and were glad to hear that you were pleased with the care and treatment you received in the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre at Basildon Hospital.

Our staff do a difficult job with skill and professionalism and feedback such as yours is always very much appreciated.

Your kind words have been forwarded to the senior team to share with staff involved in your care.

May we take this opportunity to thank you and to wish you all the very best for your future good health.
