II
I visited the elective care unit yesterday. My appointment was for 11a.m.Was seen by the senior audiologist almost immediately and then sat down to wait. The screen said a 20 minute wait which stretched to an hour and ten minutes. In that time we saw much to and froing with cups of tea etc and not much action as far as our consultant was concerned. What reall annoyed me was, when I eventually saw the consultant there were three other staff in attendance and whilst the nurse had introduced herself there was no recognition of the other two staff.
This is wrong. They could have been Joe Bloggs . It is common courtesy towards patients.
I was then told I needed an MRI
I have had my neuroma since 2010. And been seen at Southport. Where I go for an MRI and hearing test first and then saw the consultant at a later date, saving on visits and consultant and patients time. Two visits not three. As I presume I now wait for an appointment for an MRI then wait for an appointment to see the consultant for results. Lengthy, time consuming, three appointments . Not happy
