Transferred from roundhay spire by consultant to be nearer. Saw consultant last July and referred for two urgent treatments which I received one at Pontefract and other at pinderfields on same time and day. Went for treatment at Pontefract at cost of £40 return for three weeks. As Pontefract don't do the treatment the same time as the other within 12 weeks but pinderfields do I still couldn't be fitted in. I'm now waiting for review to see consultant 7 months after seeing him after urgent referrals. My gp wrote to him 5 weeks ago and still waiting. This is after 1-2 years of being referred to wrong people but not specialist as such but pain clinic, physio and psychotherapy who it seems have powers of X-ray eyes. I know health services are busy but cannot understand why 2 hospitals in same trust have different policies on treatment and don't give any information about these before appointment. I wait in hope that my pain can be eventually given the treatment I was urgently referred for.
