About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Endoscopy

(as the patient),

I attended the Endoscopy Unit at the Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline, Fife.

I had been having a lot of trouble with my bowels, I couldn't go out anywhere as I had to be within quick and easy reach of a toilet. I have been going up to 5 times a day and 4 times in the evening. The Endoscopy team at the unit were excellent at putting me at my ease and never stopped advising me throughout the whole procedure. I have so much praise for the team who were led by Michelle who was so efficient at her job. As were her assistants. I was also able to watch everything that was going on in my examination on the Monitor whilst Michelle talked me through what she was doing. Top marks to all involved.

Dear Libra

Poor you, it sound like you have been having a terrible time.

It makes such a difference when you know what to expect when you come in to hospital and it sounds like Michelle and the team got it just right for you.

I hope that you are feeling better and you have recovered well from your procedure.

I will share your post with Michelle and the nursing staff and I'm sure your kind words will make their day.

What was so helpful was the way the team led by Michelle go about putting you at. ease, talking and explains to you, what they do during the examination, so I had no worry about it all, put at my ease right away, anyone who is due this examination should not be afraid of getting it done,you are in safe hands from when you go in,to when you come out.
