About: Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital

We were induced with our second baby on the 30.01.18 and our experience overall was very positive.

We were due to be admitted on the 29/01/18 but due to the unit being busy and understaffed we were not admitted until the following night which was quite stressful for us.

After a bad experience of induction with our first baby I was very anxious but the midwives put my mind at ease and were extrenely supportive throughtout.

We saw a number of midwives throughout our stay and everyone of them was fantastic even when the ward was very busy they couldn't do enough to help.

I had to go back to ward 16 10 days after birth due to being unwell and the staff were fantastic and extremely supportive during a difficult time.

I would like to pass on my thanks to a few members of staff who really made a difference to our experience, if you could let me know how to do that it would be greatly appreciated.

I’m so pleased that you had such a positive experience with us and thanks so much for taking the time to share this. It is lovely to hear how our maternity team supported you during this time and were able to help to put you at ease. I’m sorry to hear that you had to return due to being unwell, but delighted that the care continued. I do hope you are feeling better now.
