"Care after a MMC"

About: Borders General Hospital / Gynaecology

(as a service user),

I went for my 12 week scan to discover our baby had passed away 3 weeks prior. The one thing that made this situation bearable was the care my husband and I received from all the staff caring for us and performing my surgery. Considering the circumstances, I feel like I was given the utmost respect and dignity from the nurses, Dr's and all the other staff. It was the most dignified way and the option of baby being cremated in a respectful manner really made me feel at ease.
