"Wonderful manner"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

I was greeted by David who introduced himself right away and let me know he was the nurse who would carry out my procedure. He then introduced me to Helen who was assisting him with the operation. I was very nervous but he explained everything that he would be doing and ensured that I was comfortable and that my dignity was respected at all times.

He did not start the procedure until I confirmed that the local anaesthetic had worked. I was then given after care advice.

I thought David had a wonderful manner considering how busy he must be. He's a credit to the NHS.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback which I have shared with the Minor Operations team. Helen and David are so pleased to hear that you felt at ease during your procedure and that you were given comprehensive explainations along the way. I hope your wound is healing well.

Thanks again.

Thank you so much for your response Kirsty.

I was very nervous on the day of my operation and David immediately put me at my ease. I left feeling I had been treated so well and that makes such a difference. The NHS is such an amazing service and considering how busy the department was on that day, I didn't feel rushed or " just a number" I was made to feel like a person who mattered!!!
