What could be improved

After waiting for over 3 hours for an ambulance finaly my mother was seen at the A/E department. After beining seen in A/E my mother was transferd onto ward C34. My sister and I were then told to wait in a pocky dirty waiting room until a bed was made for Mum. My gripe about the hospital is it needs investment to bring things up to scratch the A/E department looked dirty and in need of a referbishment as do the wards In comparison with hospitals in Newcastle, Sunderland royal hospital leaves alot to be desierd. On another note why has Sunderland only one major hospital catering for in patients compared to Newcastles three and less population at that.. Sunderland realy needs to invest more in there hospitals and drag them up to pare to meet the levels set in Newcastle. The hospital from comming in to recepetion area and then going up to the wards and departments on the Kyal road block just look taty for want of a better word and realy dont fill one with confiedence on there arrival. Come on Sunderland Royal you must be able to do better than this.

More investment to wards and department urgantly.
