"My mother can’t thank you enough"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Medical Oncology

(as a relative),

My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer 12 years ago and recently was devastated to find out that it has returned and she would need chemotherapy. She was very worried as we all were as no one we knew had gone through chemotherapy before.

She attended the Oncology unit at University hospital Wishaw last month to commence her treatment. Neither of us slept all that week waiting on this day coming as we dreaded the unknown. Well all I can say is the care and professionalism that we both received was second to none in particular Lorna and Ann who were very attentive and made sure that all our questions were answered and Safe to say we left that day with the weight lifted of our shoulders knowing that someone was there if you needed them.

A first class service even if She went private I don’t think would be any better and now my mother can live with her cancer and enjoy the rest of her life.

Good Morning,

Thank you very much for taking the time to provide this positive feedback. I was sorry to learn your mum's cancer had returned. The impact of this and the associated "unknown for you" of chemotherapy must have been very difficult for you all. I was pleased to learn that Lorna and Ann relieved some of the worry and concerns you had. I will ensure that this feedback is shared with both Lorna and Ann.

Thank you once again for taking the time to share your experience and provide this welcome and valuable feedback from your perspective. May I wish your mum and your family well for the future.

Mhairi
