"I did not feel listened to"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

Well, well, well....... where to begin

I came into A&E I was triaged by young male staff nurse Andy he was nice asked all the right questions that was fine I was soon seen by a doctor and then discharged with medication

I went to my GP a week later and then was referred to surgical I waited 11 weeks for an appointment I received an appointment for hairmyres and before I knew it I had a letter informing me my appointment had been rescheduled for a further 3 months time. nothing I can do about it

get to the appointment at outpatients hairmyres the receptionist seemed distant and disinterred with me or their work.

went into see the consultant may as well have been speaking to a wall. I felt that they in NO way listened to me, they kept saying that  my symptoms cant be real as I am on medication to stop those symptoms. They continuously spoke over me and dismissed me when I tried to speak.

before I could even ask any questions they had me out the room and said they didn't need to see me again frankly after the way they behaved I would never want to see them again  I have had to live with these symptoms in agony because they dismissed me no tests no bloods taken, I think it is truly shocking.

The nurses on the clinic could see I was upset and one came to approach me to ask if I was ok but I turned and left I was too upset to speak to any one and I am sorry if I was rude to the nurse  but no patient should have to endure the doctor's attitude
