"Delays"

About: Kent & Canterbury Hospital / Urology

Further to my last review:-

Delays are not just frustrating, in my case they nearly proved to be fatal. The laboratory report on my tumour said that it was the worst sort and my consultant explained that meant I only had a few days to live.

I should clarify that my complaint is not just about the 90 minute delay on the day of the appointment (both days as both appointments were late), but also that I was told that my operation was urgent and needed to be done within a fortnight. It didn’t happen until 27 days later.

My next check up was booked for the 19th April, but then bumped to 26th.

There is no space on the review form to comment about the hospital’s management, if there was it would certainly rate “must try harder” as I blame poor management for all of the delays.
