"24 hours on a stretcher in A&E"

About: Worcestershire Royal Hospital / Accident and emergency

I arrived at 8am on a Saturday vomiting blook and severely dehydrated. It took overy 4 hours to even see a doctor. As soon as I was seen I was admitted to A&E where I spent 24 hours on a stretcher. Imagine trying to get any sleep when you're in a brightly lit room with constant activity, drunks, arguments and screams. Even after be admitted to A&E it was another 12 hours until I saw a Doctor to treat me.

I got to a bed 28 hours after arrival.

It's time to close this shambolic trust and start again from scratch.
