I am currently studying at a local uni so I came here yesterday after suffering with what I thought was a cold and very painful inner ears. I arrived at the reception which my friend said to wait behind the line as when she came before she was shouted at for approaching to early, the receptionist looked at me and carried on with her conversation for a few minutes before I could check in! I found this very rude and I got the impression they weren't in a hurry! I was taken in and I told the GP my issues, I felt he didn't really listen to me and just wanted to get me out of the room! I was told to get a blood test at my local practice to check for glandular fever but as I am at uni for a short time, by the time I registered and got an appointment this would be at least another week away, before I got any kind of results! I was very suprised I couldn't have my bloods taken there! I ended up going home and going to the doctors here, where I was told I had a chest infection and given antibiotics and I have had my bloods taken! This could all have been avoided, if I was treated properly yesterday! I'm not overly impressed to be honest! The GP was definitely not helpful and I think I only was in the room for not even two minutes after waiting for nearly 2 hours!
