What I liked

The day surgery Triage Department on level 2 B20 was exceptionally efficient and clean. Staff seemed to be well motivated and equipped to deal with emergencies.

Nursing staff and doctors on ward C18 were pleasant, courteous and friendly.

I would have no qualms about returning to the Royal Blackburn Hospital Surgery Dept.

What could be improved

As I arrived on Sunday morning, half of the day surgery area appeared to be locked and the Triage department had been moved to 'level 2' of which directions to, I felt, were particularly lacking.

Whilst experiencing considerable pain and fever, I believe it took me longer than it should to receive treatment because of the above factor!
