I had a cardiac ablation procedure at the ambulatory care unit under the care of the doctor.
I was very impressed with everything at this hospital.
It was clear that systems had been thought through, and were in place, to get an efficient processing of patients.
All the staff seemed happy and you could tell that they worked well together.
I was treated with care and friendliness.
There was a sense of a well-oiled machine.
The facilities were all clean.
The food provided in the unit was good.
The bed was surprisingly comfortable as were the pillows - not what I expected.
It was quiet and dark at night, and I would have slept well if the air-handling unit (no opening windows) had worked properly - it was very hot and there seemed to be a build up of carbon dioxide during the night.
Most important, of course, was the expertise and professionalism of the staff.
An operation is not something to welcome, but the QE made it seem fully tolerable!
Definitely recommended if you need to go in for a procedure.
"Cardiology - excellent treatment"
