My sister

(as a relative),

For the past 7 years or more I have had to watch in anguish as my older sister endure years of immense paranoia.   As a family we have voiced our opinion to no avail.   My sister is living within a care home environment. My sister's  health results in some strange behaviours.  My sister can be angry and verbally aggressive to the staff if things are changed and she can become suspicious of them.   We have been told that she could lose her room.

I feel that my sister is trapped in a mental hell and cannot believe she has been allowed to suffer this for so long.

I feel that the mental health team has failed my otherwise caring and sensitive human being my sister. I would like to know who and where I can take this extremely harrowing case.

Thank you for taking time to feedback your experience. I am so sorry that you’ve been left feeling like this. Its very difficult to see our loved ones in distress. I will discuss the situation with the Lead Nurse for the community on Monday and come back to you on Care Opinion.
