"The receptionists have their back to you"

About: Nuffield Health, Leeds Hospital

(as a service user),

I find it really strange that as you enter Outpatients, the receptionists have their backs to you. It is such a strange set up and needs to be reconsidered. You can see the receptionist's PC screens as you walk in so there is a confidentiality risk which needs to be addressed.

The receptionists were friendly and checked me in quickly. The waiting area is comfortable and calm which makes a big difference. I asked where the nearest toilet was and was surprised there was just one disable toilet which was in demand and had people queuing outside.

My consultation was almost 50 minutes late but the receptionist kept me up to date so I didn't mind so much.

Overall a pleasant experience but not necessarily any better than the service I have received at the local NHS hospitals.
