Great service from Plane Trees surgery GP..  appointment booker did not listen to my request for double / extended appointment but fabulous young GP accommodated needs ... NHS needs more GPS like this

Thank you for your positive feedback. Patient Advisors are our main 'appointment bookers'. Staff are trained to a high standard (NVQ accredited in Customer Care) all follow strict protocols with regards to arranging appointments. Such protocols are in place to provide all our patients with the maximum amount of access possible within the times available. Double or extended appointments are not booked routinely as this would restrict access to other patients. The GPs or clinicians authorise double and extended appointments for this reason and also make individual assessments of each patient in consultations as to whether to deal with more than one problem per appointment. I am glad the GP was able to assess you and deal with your additional needs at your appointment. We welcome comments and feedback so we can continue to improve the service we provide to our patients.

Thank you for explaining the system.. I'm glad I didn't have to take more time off work to come back for a second appointment.
