"Core biopsy"

About: Pinderfields General Hospital

I had a recall after a screening mammogram just two days after my screening appointment. I had two female staff that did a diagnostic mammogram and then an ultrasound scan.

I then had to have a core biopsy which was explained very clearly to me.

During the procedure I was comforted and reassured constantly. These two staff members really put me at ease at a very worrying time.

I was treated with respect and dignity and everything was explained to me step by step.

I left feeling happy with how I was treated and would like to thank them for the manner in how they treated me.

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments on NHS Choices.

I am pleased to read that everything went smoothly and you found our staff kind and professional.

I fully acknowledge the anxiety and trepidation experienced by many of our patients attending this clinic, and the team work very hard to minimise this and help our patients feel fully informed and reassured.

I will pass your kind comments on to the Team who will be very touched.

Thank you again.

Kind regards

Clare Blackburn
