"Really bad experience"

About: St Mary's Hospital (HQ) / Gynaecology

I had an overall really bad experience with this hospital. Unfortunetely, It is my second miscarriage and I had quite a few experiences in St. Mary's Hospital

I would like to start by talking about the Emergency Gyna Service. I have been there 8 times. Not once they were on time. One

of my appointments was at 9:00am- first of the day, and they only saw me at 9:30am, so I realised, if they start late everyday, there is no way they will be able to provide a good service and see patients on time. Yesterday, however, was by far my worst experience. I could not simply reschedule, because I needed to do blood tests for the surgery today. I had to wait for 2 hours. It was terrible, I could not have lunch, it was extremely disrespectful.

Today, the surgery day, I was at st. Mary's at 7am. It is 11:30am, I haven't eaten anything since 9:30pm yesterday, did not have water since 6am and they told me that I must wait for an indefinite amount of time to have my procedure because there is no theatre or staff available. This is a hospital: emergencies are part of the routine of a hospital- it is ridiculous that they do not have theatres or staff to see the scheduled patients.

The experience of having a second miscarriage is sad and traumatic itself, but the poor services and the total disregard for my wellbeing has made this experience alltogether much worse, stressfull and traumatic. If I think of getting pregnant again, I will not only be scared of miscarring, but also having to cope with all the stress of bad medical support.

And I have no choice. I have signs of an infection, so I have to have my surgery today.

I am still waiting, hopefully I will be seen until 2 pm (umbelivable)
