"Maternity"

About: Royal Stoke University Hospital

We visited the walk in session from Stafford and the whole building felt old and run down and needed a re vamp, spoke to a midwife who was brilliant and gave good advice however when seeing the doctor it was very rushed and gave the impression she didn’t want to spend too much time with us, information was rushed through and basically we were told to read the leaflets we were given. The treatment room door wouldn’t close so all we could hear was the shouting and movement from the reception area and on 4 occasions people came in without knocking to speak to the doctor. So far on this experience compared to having my daughter at Stafford, if I have to come to Stoke I don’t want anymore children. In my opinion this ward should’ve been closed instead of Stafford. I hope my opinion is changed when my second daughter arrives
