I suffered from fracture of humerus shaft in November 2017. I was impressed by the promptness of my treatment on the day.
My appointments were with in the given time.
I was particularly impressed with x-ray department who listened to my need and moved my CT scan appointment to a day when I was at the hospital for DEXA scan in order to avoid additional attendance. This resulted in my surgery to take place two weeks sooner than planned.
I was given the opportunity to attend hospital on my consultant’s trauma day with a view to have surgery if possible. Fortunately I was operated on the day and this brought my recovery two weeks sooner.
The whole team from ward 14a and ward 26a were very professional and attentive to all my needs..
The doctor involved me and my husband in all important excision making. His secretary has been very patient and caring when listening to my needs.
This is my first experience in any NHS hospital for any treatment and I am really impressed and could not say enough to praise the staff.
At present I am attending physiotherapist department and the physiotherapists encouraging confident approach is definitely working. I do have a long road to recovery but wanted to acknowledge my appreciation for the hospital.
