"Poor quality of care"

About: Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust

I was in Epsom hospital for an induction as I was 2 weeks late. We were left waiting in the waiting for more than an hour, then when we got moved we were again left for hours and finally had the pessary put in at 6pm but had been there since 2pm. I went to use the shared bathroom on Simon Stewart ward to find blood on the floor where someone had showered and also a cup of urine and toilet paper left on the side of the toilet. I then after had to use the visitors toilets after that.

I gave birth at 5:15am and had stitches and after an hour got told to go and get cleaned up no offer of help and she gave me a kylie as she said I will bleed every where.

Then we where moved back up to the ward and one midwife came in a couple of hours later saying how busy they were and that we will come and see us as soon as she can we were seen at 5:30pm that evening which I think is unacceptable.

We are quite concerned to hear this, please can you contact our Patient Engagement and Liaison Service (PALS) on tel: 02082962508 (St Helier) / 01372735243 (Epsom) or email: est-tr.PALS@nhs.net who would be able to investigate this further.
