My father had excellent care when he was rushed into QA Emergency Dept.
Staff were extremely busy but managed to assess my father quickly.
He then went to high risk medical ward where he was monitored well.
As he improved he was taken to an E ward and discharged less than 12 hours later with little information from consultant about what to expect health wise when he got home.
As a consequence he had to return to A and E the next day over concerns of symptoms persisting.
He had to wait for more blood tests and x ray and a fuller explanation of his condition before he was discharged again.
If he had a more communicative discharge on E level we would not have had to return and take up more time.
"A and E worked to its best in difficult..."
